The brushed face takes the edge off a cold morning without the bulk of a coat. It goes on over whatever you already have on and settles straight away, with no stiffness at the cuff to work through. The relaxed cut leaves room across the back and through the sleeve, so a knit underneath doesn't pull the shoulder out of place. Buttoned to the collar it reads as a light jacket; open, it wears as an outer shirt.
