The raglan sleeve runs in one unbroken line from collar to cuff, so the shoulder follows your own rather than sitting square on top of it. The check is woven small and close, reading as a soft texture at a distance and resolving into a grid up close. It falls straight to a plain hem with no break in the line, which keeps the coat hanging clean over a jumper or a jacket. Length sits around the hip, in the tradition of car coats rather than a full-length overcoat.

Raglan Shoulder That Moves With You Because the seam curves into the neck instead of cutting across the shoulder, you can reach for a door or a steering wheel without the whole coat shifting.
