The wool has enough weight to hold its line as you walk, without feeling like armour across the shoulder. It falls to the knee, which is the length that actually keeps a suit trouser covered on a cold platform. Sizes run XS to 3XL and the cut allows for a jacket underneath.

Double-Breasted Front That Seals the Chest The overlapping panels button right across the torso, leaving no gap for wind to find. Worn open, the wide lapels roll back into a broad, easy line.

Wool Cloth With a Silk-Satin Lining The face cloth is a densely woven wool with a dry, matte hand and very little stretch, which is what lets the coat hang straight from the shoulder. A smooth satin lining runs through the body and sleeves so the coat slides over a jacket instead of bunching at the shoulder seam.

Wear it over a navy suit and a fine-gauge roll-neck, with dark leather boots.
